The hype around the EV industry is "increased range & a faster charge time". Cost, safety, weight and all the other challenges that car manufactures face, all became of a lessor focus after the EV market gained sufficient traction in the areas of the world that has accommodated EV-vehicles, but the single biggest technology  "push" stayed with the engineering teams to find better ratios between the range and the charge time in relation to cost of delivery.
